Got bitten by The Fleas in Paris! (Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen)

Being bargain hunters the Gorgeous H and the Stylish P couldn't wait to check out one of Paris' best known if not most popular flea market, the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen-Paris or simply called Les Puces.

Les Puces is open on Saturdays and Sundays with some merchants remaining open on Mondays.

Les Puces or the Fleas is composed of 14 different markets spread out on over seven hectares. The place is so huge you can't possibly finish browsing all the shops in a day or two. The market is located just outside of Paris but is easily accessible via the metro stop Porte De Clignancourt (line 4).

Marché Vernaison, the oldest flea market in Les Puces was established in the 1920s.
Winding alleyways overflowing with bric-à-bracs. I would gladly get lost in this place!
Chez Louisette tucked right inside La Vernaison opened in the 1930s and serves traditional French cuisine.
I couldn't pry the Gorgeous H from this shop. She was literally in bead heaven! Being an accomplished artist, the Gorgeous H makes wonderful jewelry some of which have even won awards. That's not just the proud sister talking, you might want to check out her creations here.
How about going on a road trip in this vintage 4-wheel drive?
With some luggage to boot....or should I say in the boot.
With silverware aplenty.....
One has to have some protection, right?
Marché Malassis has mostly antique dealers and interior designer shops inside.
Monsieur L'Artiste in action..
If you're into vintage clothing then the Marché Dauphine is the perfect place to visit.
They have vintage designer bags too.
Marché Biron, the second oldest market in Les Puces is also referred to as the Fauborg Saint-Honoré of the flea market because of the second-hand luxury goods being sold here. Probably explains the presence of Monsieur La sécurité at the entrance.
Pretty expensive stuff here.
"Oui, c'est gratuit!"
I am not sure if this is a regular thing but during our visit there were free snacks offered by the different merchants through out the market.
They even had performers entertain the visitors for free! Note the lack of any coin boxes.

The sisters and I had a great time browsing and eating our way through out the market. I hope to return soon this time with the Big K in tow.
